Hey guys! Thanks for the great article, I went out and tried the glutinous ball in ginger soup after reading this, and it was my absolute favorite so far. I noticed that there was a dessert that you might not have tried because you didn’t mention it, but thought I would tell you about it, if you get the chance. It’s known as a Vietnamese Fruit Salad (Hoa Qua Dam), and you can get it with a delicious yogurt or coconut milk sauce. The best one I had was on a corner which looked like a woman was just doing it from the kitchen of her house. It had watermelon, jackfruit, lychee, herbal jelly, mango, and a few different homemade jello heart shaped cubes filled with cream. The whole thing looked way too crazy sweet for me, so I passed on the thought of getting one several times. It wasn’t until after I noticed how completely packed with locals it was all the time, that I finally gave it a try. It is amazing! Not too sweet, the coconut and the fruit makes it taste really tropical. Just thought I would give it a shout out here so you and others could try. There are several places that have it. This one was the best, and it’s 30k…a little expensive, but so worth it.
