Did you heat the sandwich in the broiler? It’s hard to tell what might have happened with the bottom piece of bread, but glad you enjoyed it overall. Cheers

Recipe tasted delicious, however, I did everything exactly as the recipe said and the sauce never thickened. Not sure why. So my bottom piece of bread ended up turning to mush after pouring the sauce on the plate
